Sandler Training are members of the CPD (Continuous Professional Development) Certification Service. Many professional bodies encourage their members to take a certain number of CPD courses each year to retain their professional status. For example in the legal profession 25% of their CPD training must come from Law Society courses but they are encouraged to find the 75% in other areas thus broadening their experience. I attended Sandler's cold calling training session in September 2009, a topic that is not only difficult to teach but also a topic and exercise that most Sales Managers, no matter what line of business you are in, find the least exciting about their jobs. Cold calling however is necessary to every business and Iain approached the subject with such enthusiasm that this sometimes thankless task we have to perform was made to sound very manageable and quite fun!
